A religious leader is a person who is recognised within a particular religion as having authority within that body. The major religious leader for Christianity is Pope Francis, who was born on the 17th of December, 1936. The Clergy is a body of ordained people or ministers in a Christian church. In most Christian churches they are in order of bishop, priest and deacon. The clergy is important to the followers of a certain religion because the followers can look up to and respect the clergy because the clergy are usually leaders of a church or chapel and have many important roles. A place of worship is a specially designed structure and/or space where individuals or a group of people such as a group of people from a certain religion come to perform acts of dedication, religious study or adoration. The roles that are performed by the clergy are to welcome new members of the church and to be loyal and respectful of the church and the people higher up in the clergy and newcomers. Because Christianity is the most established and longest living religion, it has many places of worship, like the church’s, chapels and cathedrals all around the world. The various places of worship allow the followers of certain religions can pray, think, show signs of respect and honour.
